Restoring a previous version of Navigator 365 can be necessary if you encounter issues after an upgrade, or if you feel that additional user training is required for the new version. This guide will walk you through the steps to safely revert to an earlier version.
Steps to Restore:
- Navigate to the Tenant App Catalog site collection. You can usually find it at https://{your-tenant-name}.sharepoint.com/sites/appcatalog. Replace {your-tenant-name} with your specific SharePoint tenant name.
If you're unsure of the URL, try accessing https://{your-tenant-name}-admin.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/online/ManageAppCatalog.aspx.
*this link works only if you have admin SharePoint permissions. - Once you are in the App Catalog, determine whether you are in the Modern or Classic experience. The Modern experience features a cleaner, more streamlined look, while the Classic experience has a more traditional, detailed interface. If you are in the Modern experience, you should see a note with the link suggesting switching to the Classic experience (see the screenshot below). Click on the 'Classic experience' link to switch. The page will reload in the Classic SharePoint interface.
- Browse to the 'Apps for SharePoint' section.
- Locate the Navigator 365 app. Click the "..." icon next to it, then click another "..." in the dialog box that appears. Select 'Version History' from the menu.
- In the Version History window, find the version you wish to restore. Hover over the 'Modified Date' of this version and click the dropdown menu. Choose 'Restore'. This action will revert to the selected version of the app.
- Close the Version History window. Refresh your screen. The Navigator 365 app should now show the restored version number and the current modified date.
Troubleshooting Tips:
If the restored version does not appear immediately, try clearing your browser cache.
