There is a possibility that your organization does not have an App Catalog yet. It is not created in your tenant by default, and tenant/SharePoint administrator has to create it first. Follow these steps to create new App Catalog for your Office 365 tenant.
- Open Office 365 portal by browsing to https://www.office.com/.
- Browse to the SharePoint Admin Portal. This could be done through a few simple steps right in your browser.
- Browse to the list of available Apps by clicking to the Office 365 Waffle Menu. Locate Admin app and click on it. You may have to click to All apps to find Admin option. If you cannot find an Admin app, most likely your user account does not have the right permissions. In this case please reach out to your Tenant/SharePoint Administrator for the request to propagate App Catalog.
- When in Admin portal, please click “Show all” to expand available menu options.
- Click SharePoint to browse to the SharePoint Admin Portal. If you cannot find SharePoint option in the menu, most likely you do not have SharePoint Administrator privileges. In this case please reach out to your Tenant/SharePoint Administrator for the request to propagate App Catalog.
- When in SharePoint Admin portal, select “More features” option from the left menu.
- Click “Open” in “Apps” tile. This should get you to the Apps Admin page.
- Click on App Catalog Option. This should either get you to existing App Catalog or open up the App Catalog creation dialog. If you see an existing App Catalog site, please go back to the product installation section of this manual.
- Select “Create a new app catalog site” option and click Ok.
- Fill in required fields in the next dialog. Keep in mind that you can fully control the title and URL of “App Catalog” site. We do recommend using standardized naming of “App Catalog” or “Apps” for title, and “appcatalog” or “apps” for Web Site Address. Click “Ok” to create App Catalog. It may take some time for the new App Catalog site to be created (up to an hour).
